Quick & Easy Fruity Smoothies

I've recently started to try being a bit more healthier I've honestly not got the greatest diet but I just need to throw a bit more fruit and veg in my life and cut down on the carbs and sweet stuff, although it is easier said than done haha. I think smoothies are a great way of staying healthy and because I'm quite fussy with my fruits I've found that when I throw them in the smoothie machine and mix them together It's just much nicer for me. For instance strawberries, I've never liked them but I love them in smoothies! So recently I have been making myself quite a few simple smoothies and thought I'd share them with you, although It's not like I invented them or anything haha but these ones I have tried and thought they were pretty tasty! :)

Watermelon & Strawberry Smoothie

  • I use the little pots of watermelon that you can get and use most of the melon that's in there, if not all of it
  • A handful of strawberries
  • Ice

Orange, Mango & Strawberry Smoothie
  • 1 orange
  • A few slices of mango
  • Handful of strawberries
  • Ice
  • Fruit juice of your choice

Banana & Strawberry smoothie
  • 1 banana
  • handful of strawberries
  • Ice

. Puppies, Crazy dog people & Dog shows.

This weekend me and my parents went away to Doncaster (which may be the home of Louis Tomlinson) for One direction fans ;) but it is also the home of my Grandma. We drove up Saturday morning I woke up at 7.30am that day which to be honest is pretty amazing for me because I am not a morning person at all! It's a three hour drive from where we live, Kofi also came with us because the main reason we were going is because we were going to meet his mum and brother for the first time since he was born. For me I actually quite like car journeys because I can just put my headphones on and daydream away with the music I listen to haha.
So we arrived at the house which I haven't been to for almost 7 years since my grandpa passed away so it felt a little strange being back there, but a lot of good memories have come from that house and it's such a nice house too.
We then drove a little bit out of town to a camp site where the family of Kofi's mum and brother were staying for the weekend. We stayed for a few hours and let the dogs run wild! Every person who was there was dog mad! I absolutely love dogs but I'm not one of those crazy dog people and actually I'm more of a cat person haha but it was nice to see all the dogs that were Kofi's breed.
On Sunday we went back to the Camp site where they were holding a dog show where we entered Kofi and this was the first time he had ever been in one and also the first time I have ever been in the ring competing in one. Kofi came last in all the ones he entered, he just wanted to play with the other dogs in the ring but it was his first time so he did good for his first show. It was so sweet to see him and his mum and brother re united again it's almost as if they remember each other and It was a shame that the weather wasn't great, It was wet and very cold but I guess you can expect that from the English weather eh?

 Kofi and his mum.

Kofi and his brother.

This one is a little out of focus but I love it haha!

But anyway had a pretty good weekend, nice to be home again though. What have you been up to this weekend?

Boots Haul/Recommendations

Hi all!
Yesterday I went into London for a bit of a shopping spree, considering I'm out of a job at the moment I wanted to make at least one more trip to London as I probably won't be able to for a while because of money! One of the main shops I needed to go in was Boots, I came in originally looking for a new eyebrow brush because mine has somehow gone missing. I popped into two boots but couldn't seem to find any! However I did also need to buy myself some Items that I have recently been loving again! I've previously had these products before and have been using them a lot (Minus the nail varnish)

Personally I think the 'lasting perfection' concealer is one of the best concealers out there. This is the third time I have gone out to buy this product and it beats all the other ones I have tried out. It's great coverage and the colour is perfect for my skin. If you have pale skin like me I'd go for the 'Fair 1' which is the one I use. I also have really bad dark circles under my eyes which makes me look half dead but this is great to use under your eyes too and this was £4.19

I didn't come in looking for nail varnish but I did see this colour that really stood out to me and it's a orangy/pinky/corally type of colour, it's really pretty and perfect for the summer you can buy this for £2,99

Lastly I'm currently loving these 'Lasting finish colour rush' lip crayons. I've gone for the more natural colours because that's normally the look I go for but there's loads of really pretty bright colours too! This is the second time I've used the one in the middle which is a really soft/natural pink which isn't too harsh but still brings a pretty colour to your lips. I also wanted to try a different colour so I went for this maroon/purple one which I thought looked really pretty.

The colours are actually not that much different from each other, the top one has got more of a reddish tint and the bottom one is the more purply colour. You can get these for £5.99

I didn't get much from boots but I do really recommend these products. What have been your favourite Boots products recently?

Happy, free, confused & lonely at the same time.

This title is actually a lyric from of course a Taylor Swift song haha but I feel like it really describes what I'm feeling right now. I'm at a place in my life where I just don't know what I want, I feel so many emotions that I tend to just block them out and the one day they all come back at me and I get really down. There's so many feelings that I feel right at this very moment, lost, frustrated, lonely, and just sort of numb. There's so much going on round my head, things that I over think about which then leads me to getting stressed about things. I'm normally the type of person that puts on a brave face and just goes with the flow but I hide a lot if I'm honest. I never show what I'm feeling and I find it hard to open up to express what I'm feeling.
At this point in my life I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with it, where I want to go, what path I want to go down. I've never truly known what career I want to end up doing so It's hard for me to get started with trying to achieve my goals. I also feel pretty much alone at this time, I don't exactly have many friends and I seem to find myself on my own a lot of the time. My confidence tends to get in the way of a lot of things and that frustrates me so much because it stops me from doing a lot of things that I would like to do. I've always been a shy person, I'm actually a lot better than I used to be, I don't actually consider myself that shy any more maybe if I meet someone new but then I tend to open up to them once I get to know them. But yeah, that's just kind of what I'm feeling right now. I'm generally a free, happy person because I've learnt to block negativity out but I do get those days where I just think to myself "what am I doing with my life?" I know I'll get there eventually and that things will lighten up a bit but it's just trying to find how to get started, y'know? xxx

The life of Kofie, so far...

Heya everyone!
Recently I did a small blog post on our new puppy we've had him for almost 5 months now and he's getting pretty huge already! All I ever seem to do is take pictures of him but to be honest he's literally one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen haha! he's so photogenic.
I don't think anyone has actually ever made me laugh more than he has he can be so incredibly cheeky and the look on his face when he knows it is just hilarious to me. He's going through that stage where whatever he sees he'll eat, he's gone from eating Paper, card board, poo, to eating stag Beatles, flies, he even swallowed a bee the other day and thank goodness he didn't get stung! But anyway, he's a lot of fun to have around, here's a few pictures of Kofi recently.
